Morning

Go to Tiananmen Square in the morning to experience the solemn spirit of this world's largest square. (If you want to see the flag raising, you must hurry up early, because the flag raising time is the same as the sunrise time, so you must check the information in advance and arrive at the venue at least about an hour in advance.) After seeing the Heroes Monument, Chairman Mao Memorial Hall, the Great Hall of the People and other buildings, you can go to the Qianmen area to experience the style of the old Beijing shopping street and have lunch here.

After lunch, you can take the bus back to the vicinity of Tiananmen Gate Tower and start your afternoon trip to the Forbidden City. The Forbidden City scenic spot is relatively large and there are many visits. It is best to do some homework before visiting, or follow the tour guide to listen to the explanation. After coming out from the north gate of the Forbidden City, you will come to Jingshan Park. If you climb up Jingshan, you can see the panoramic view of the Forbidden City and the 360-degree full view of Beijing without dead corners. If you still have the energy, you can go to the surrounding alleys at dusk and experience the most real urban life in Beijing~

After arriving in Beijing, it is strongly recommended to apply for a [Municipal Transportation Card] in the subway station, which can be used by subways, buses and some urban express rails. Today's transportation is mainly completed by walking. After visiting near Qianmen-Dashilan, if you want to go back to the Tiananmen Gate Tower to visit the Forbidden City, you can take 2/59/120 at Dashilan Bus Station to get off at Tiananmen East Station.
