Natural Wonders

Glacier Green Valley is packed with stunning landscapes. For hikers, Lotus Mountain offers rugged trails and panoramic views, while Double Beauty Peak (a unique rock formation) is perfect for photography. The valley also includes Xiangtun Village, often called “Beijing’s most beautiful countryside,” where rolling hills meet crystal-clear streams. Don’t miss the six man-made lakes in Tieluo Village—they’re surrounded by vibrant marigolds and cockscomb flowers, creating a colorful, peaceful atmosphere.

Cultural Highlights

Beyond nature, Glacier Green Valley has rich human history. Explore Seven Red Villages, which tell stories of rural China’s revolutionary past. The Liao Dynasty Iron Smelting Site reveals ancient industrial practices, and Zhongli Temple (a historic Buddhist spot) adds a spiritual touch. These sites blend old-world charm with the valley’s natural beauty.

Eco-Friendly Development

Since 2013, the valley has undergone major upgrades. Locals rebuilt homes in traditional styles, improved infrastructure, and added visitor-friendly features like walking paths and viewpoints. The small watershed project in Tieluo Village transformed the area: 16 square kilometers of restored rivers, six scenic lakes, and thousands of flowers make it feel like a hidden paradise.
