Location & Access

Mount Qingcheng lies in the western part of Dujiangyan City, about an hour’s drive from Chengdu. As one of the birthplaces of Daoist philosophy, it’s nicknamed the “Mountain of Profound Serenity” (Qingcheng xiaotian you). To get there, take a high-speed train from Chengdu North Station to Dujiangyan, then a 10-minute taxi ride to Qingcheng Mountain Road. Buses are also available but less convenient.

Natural Scenery: A World of Green

Mount Qingcheng is a lush paradise. The front mountain (qianshan) feels like a miniature landscape—you’ll spot an ancient temple or pavilion every few steps, tucked amid dense forests. It’s compact enough to explore in half a day. The back mountain (houshan), however, is a wilder adventure. Expect steep trails, roaring streams, and untouched forests.
