What it is

A mid-republic-era courtyard house at Zengjiayan No.50 on Zhongshan 4th Road, which served as the main wartime office of the Southern Bureau of the CPC Central Committee (Zhou Enlai) during the War of Resistance. The building (originally the residence of local figure Zhao Shaolong) is around 882 sqm and is modestly furnished but compactly laid out. It sits beside the Guiyuan mansion, where the Double Tenth Agreement was signed.
